McCarthy had his chance and he blew it. Do you really imagine you would have seen rational, fact based, questioning from the likes of Gym Jordan, Matt Gaetz or pick your own red hot dickhead from many?
There is way too much testimony of people who were with Trump, too much video and too much audio to dispute what happened and who did or did not do what. There is NO other side of what has been documented. Period.
So denial of what happened has been soundly rebutted. We're just establishing culpability and the proud Boys are doing a good job testifying about what Trump wanted them to do.
Trump lied about not watching the insurrection on TV, too many people have testified that that was exactly what he was doing.
I say there is zero chance that there won't be criminal referrals coming from this committee.
