One of the ONLY people that understands that we are not anywhere close, globally, to a Hollywood version of a Jetson's world where everything and every one can live off of solar power and wind energy.

Those electric cars are near wholly, at this point, powered by electricity generated by fossil fuels.

Until there is someone out there with the money to develop more compact, energy efficient solar panels, batteries with a LOT more efficient storage capacity, wind generators with much higher output and heaters, air conditioning that can work on a LOT less power, well, we're not anywhere CLOSE to living in a fossil fuel free world.

Frankly I've never understood why cars have.to be charged up in the first place when they're moving down the road at 70 mph and it barely takes 20 to spin a sizable wind generator or why they can't be equipped with solar power cells to self charge. At least partially. They run 500-800 miles on a charge now supposedly, why are they still reliant on fossil energy for power?

They're already putting a huge drainage on the overloaded grid. Between vehicles that need to charge excessively and all the millions of new arrivals flooding the country, the nation's grid is due for a melt down.
