On average, the stock market crashes about every 11 or 12 years, so we are overdue. There is no cause for a panic and it's nearly completely unrelated to a recession, although, of course, company stocks will do poorly in a recession. But a stock market crash is not a cause of a recession.

The trend is your friend. Go short (which I never do), buy inverse etfs (which I do a lot), go long USD, buy bonds, buy puts, sell calls, or use your cash to get cheaper shares. The average recovery time for a crash is, I don't know, about 6 months to a year.

It has nothing to do with Biden's policies, The Fed is independent, it's just that this particular era of free money is ending.
