My point was that karma is a bitch (in a gender neutral way) and the colonizers are now hearing it from the colonized. Maybe the White Man should have left a little oil, natural resources, and prime farmland for the previous residents, not to mention leaving their elected / chosen leaders in place.

And then maybe their economies wouldn't be ruined and their countries wouldn't be run by gangs and they could stay at home and make a living.

This is why I can't see African countries getting behind the EU and Ukraine in the current mess. European countries screwed the African pooch big time and now the Africans certainly can't be expected to be the natural allies of the countries that oppressed them for centuries.
