I have to defend Hobbes here. There is a fine line between pumping and someone being excited and believing theu found a gem early on that could go up in value from the current share price. I always hated the Pokerstars PR and when it was mentioned cause I could not find much about it. I dont think Hobbes excessively pumped anything. Did he rely on a lot of the public information out there? Sure. 20 to 40M estimated revenue. MF was an entrepreneur. The farm ... upick hemp weekends ... Estopian and Slaugh added as advisors or some such ... people were touring ...
It is not Hobbes fault the Company failed to deliver on almost every metric after going Pink Current. They said they would change the name. They never even did the paperwork to start or initiate the name change. They quit growing essentially after 2 quarters. Did 7.5M revenue pess than 50% of the lowest target. CE happened in July. Estopian and Slaugh and the whole council thing vanished. Trust me I know someone that contacted them and provided proof and they said they wished MF the best but they were not consulting or doing anything with MF. The Hip Bistros never happened. And I dont count the one that opened and closed in 4 months well after the fact. The 5k retail stores tirned out to be what ... 5 stores. None of that is Hobbes fault.
We all knew what we were investing in and it looked like something that had good potential to be something the 1st 6 months. The biggest red flag is when the Company does not come through on amy stated goal and deliverable. Unfortunately, by the time that started happening ... bam ... CE.
The question I wonder is did MF wind things down right after March and going Pink Current because he knew we were screwed since he know something was up as early as March 2nd. They all of a sudden scrapped the UPick Hemp weekends, the press releases grinded to a halt ... they never grew more crop shortly after that ... OR was it the CE in July ... the CE provided some cover because you could say well ... Estopian and Slaugh have to distance because of the CE ... I just wonder if things changed as early as March/April ... or was it July and CE.
At any rate blame the Company or talk smack about the notoriois pumper GP Farms ... but Hobbes still posts messages in our chat ... never left ... and he was devastated when I posted the farm was up for sale ... I think he is genuine, thought this was a good investment he got elin early on, believed in it, promoted it and was blindsided like the rest of us. I also know for a fact he was buying shares at .02 to .04. He is taking it very hard.
