Zab, it is true that the former President enjoys a lot of support from his base and others mind you. In no way could I possibly nor will I defend this person who has Government official documents some of which can be considered Secret and top Secret files at his home in Florida. I somehow do not see this person much as a reader, more like a scanner viewer type not reading all the details but seeing something he likes and then proceeds to keep it. Two possible things come to my mind here concerning this seemingly disregard to the maintenance of said documents those two things are this.
The person you are speaking about never held office anywhere let alone the Presidency of the U.S. and if no one informed him or instructed him how these documents were to be handled then it is very possibly he had no clue about that process. When if he asked if he could keep a document who is it that stood in his way and said no Mr. President you cannot keep this document there is a process you must follow as President. John Bolton early on was his National Security Advisor and then Robert O'Brien and if neither of these two made it happen or any other mouse in his realm then he just kept them that is how I see it. Weak instruction by measly mice around him that were afraid to tell him what needs to be done with said documents. The Second thing I think is perhaps he thought it was common to take said documents without proper direction having been given to him and he would return them at a much later date. I don't know the answer here but I see it as a overall failure of the folks in his Administration that either did not follow any rules concerning these documents and/or they themselves did not know either and would not tell the former President what he could and could not do. I see this person as one who would probably not save contractual documents that did not favor his company, and if it was some other gentleman's agreement I see a lack of disclosure that followed him to this Presidential position. Either way even in small business dealings there are documents that one keeps safe and maintains in a safe locked place for up to seven years. I think the former is the truth that no one dared to tell him what he could keep and not keep and that is a failure on their part not his as he had no clue what the procedure was. You cannot be dumb and stupid on the same subject matter you either know or you don't.
Sorry but for your gun violence comment and TN the gun laws in Chicago are one of the most strictest in our Nation and you all know what happens there every weekend death from gun violence. Violent people kill others, guns are the instrument they have found works best for them, they will still kill just harder method they would have to use. Also lawful people carrying guns also stop violence from happening or continuing when they take action immediately. the 2nd Amendment was if the Government got too big as in the Democrat method of handling things with Big Government where all are dependent on their continuous supply of pablum or drug money for them to use the purpose was to provide a method for you and me to defend ourselves against a possible tyrannical Government that does not have Americans back or the Country as their number one priority. When you do all the things that are going on supporting other Countries in their wars, paying illegals funds that are meant for American's, giving freedom to repeat offender criminals then it starts to appear tje rest of us, well we are simply all low on their priority listing.
This 2nd Amendment whether you like it or not protects you as well as everyone here.
