LOL! Though I too stay at a Holiday Inn Express from time to time, and am an avid Google Doctor, I just took that for a sunburned face.

I just added a relatively new drug, about 2 years on the market, to my statin regimen, NEXLIZET.

I had been taking ezetimibe, which works better with statins. It works on dietary cholesterol.

Bempedoic acid works in the liver 'upstream' from where the statin works, so still less cholesterol can be manufactured in the liver.

https://www.nexlizet.com/what-is-nexlizet?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=nexlizet%20mechanism%20of%20action&utm_content=moa&utm_campaign=nexlizet_branded&gclid=Cj0KCQjwio6XBhCMARIsAC0u9aFjOVJ6ROpIpMDLhT86YRuu6FlDcMyuWdup3zZfNuX_B67nxubLpdcaAt0dEALw_wcB

The active ingredients in NEXLIZET are bempedoic acid and ezetimibe. Each ingredient works in a different way:

Bempedoic acid lowers the amount of cholesterol made by the liver
Ezetimibe lowers the amount of cholesterol absorbed in the gut

Both ingredients eventually lead to removal of bad cholesterol from your blood.
