Garland has about 40 days before the 60 day self-imposed limit on indictments for the shitgibbon. Maybe he will, maybe he won't.

What options are there for Garland to get bailed out with his silence and hope it goes away?

1. Well, a stroke or death of the suspect. I don't think shitgibbon will fake a stroke, though, like some mob bosses do, as he would probably rather die than show weakness from injury or illness, a lifelong characteristic of his. Massive coronary would make everyone from the RNC to my pet cat happy.

2. Garland could charge him with some legal equivalent of jaywalking, not really befitting his crimes but a little something to put points on the board. No evidence of garland doing that before, though.

3. Some more insurrectionist horseshit approaching civil unrest, only from the mind of donald, so not very predictable or well thought out, as a distraction. Redeeming factor in this option is that shitgibbon never succeeds at anything.

4. He is indicted for inciting a riot, violation of his oath, treason, or something with some meat on it. Preferred alternative (by non-cultists, anyway).

5. He actually goes under oath, on live TV, and perjures himself so bad that SNL writers die from alcohol poisoning during their creative meeting. He runs out of ex-wives and family members to die for his stalling moves.

6. Garland continues his silent investigation, but gets bailed out by an IRS indictment for tax fraud.

7. Garland continues to not communicate anything significant, knowing that if he indicts, Orrin Hatch would be spinning in his grave so violently that he would generate a megawatt of electricity, running a noisy but harmless Tesla Coil hooked to his nuts.

If anything other than No. 4 occurs, 2/3 of the country will be going "WTF?" and situation would be ripe for the draft Al Franken movement to gain traction. (needed a happy thought to balance this out a little)

Anyone else see a path to nowhere for the investigation?

Before I get a directed analysis of the point by point, it must be said that anything but 4. is not acceptable to me, however, analysis of hypotheticals can be useful, for comedy anyway. I guess we can talk about it again a month from now when Garland gets a little cover if he does not act)

I have always been a Franken fan, and to see the NYT running an opinion piece, an apology for taking him out without due process, as a baby step for Franken rehabilitation.
