Well, the same reason they are buying it now. It is the commitment to a zero-carbon business model. Otherwise, they would not spend the extra money to buy Green Hydrogen this early and at the current price. It is like why someone buys an expensive EV when they came to market. Many virtual signaled, some felt they wanted to do what was right for the planet, some wanted to be first, some felt it cost less. So, many reason, but with ESG being a big deal and companies like Blackrock saying cut or else risk investors then and the Government pressure many, like a political whim will appease to get along because it makes them more money in the future. This is especially true of the younger generations that have been fed on the environmental movement propaganda that the Earth will seek to exist in 5 or 10 years. I feel Nuclear War is a much bigger threat, myself.
