08:38 AM EDT, 07/21/2022 (MT Newswires) -- Nucor (NUE) reported Q2 earnings of $9.67 per diluted share Thursday, compared with $5.04 a year earlier. Analysts polled by Capital IQ were expecting $8.60 per share.
Revenue for the quarter ended July 2 was $11.79 billion, compared with $8.79 million a year earlier. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ were expecting $11.59 billion.
Nucor said it expects Q3 profitability to be less than in Q2, but that it believes 2022 "will be the most profitable year in Nucor's history."
