They have proven out the process
in small batches. They know the chemistry works. They probably used some kind of laboratory furnace. Now they have to demonstrate that they can do it on a 24 hour a day continuous (not batch) basis. A kiln is basically a continuous furnace that material flows through. I believe Scott said it will be fed at a rate of 10kg per hour.
