Sure is hot in Chattanooga, and this is still June, cannot wait till August. There is another subject using the electricity to keep our homes and offices cool so we can work.

Now solar is much more economical to use, but the republicans really get angry when you bring up that green agenda. What is wrong with using better forms of energy, that are cheaper, and more environmentally friendly to mankind.

I remember my mother telling me of those winters when that would get a delivery of coal for the furnace. It came down the chute of the home, and you had to go down and shovel it, and then make it ready to use for the furnace. What a fun, and enjoyable way to spend your evening when you finally came home from work each day.

I also remember living up in the northern Adirondacks, and putting nine cords of wood each summer so it would dry and get ready for winter. I also remember trying to explain to my city friends that when you bring in the wood each night you get it from the farthest stack, and not right outside the kitchen door. I also reminded them that the ax was used for splitting a few, instead of always taking the easiest ones from the stacked pile.

Then I remember many years later when I discovered so many people had moved up to live in the north country, so many fires, the smell was enough for you to take notice.

I have driven a new electric car, the first thing you notice is that it is quiet, and not as smelly as gas powered ones. Plugging it in at work was as easy as you could make it, so much nicer than sitting at the local gas station.

Just got home from errands, gas prices keep dropping, only $ 4.37 a gallon, and once again oil is dropping, I wonder what republicans will cry about next.
