hap, If you read the board more consistently you would know the links requirement thing is "big on" for trolls. Most all of the time non-troll assertions are well intended, so mostly reliable. If a genuine mistake is made most all of the time it is picked up and they are called on it. Trolls on the other hand consistently make ill-judged, or misguided, even persistently deliberately false assertions. Hemce the board's (not just mine) preferred position. DesertDrifter's and my public posts to that aside, this article gives you good reason why we ask for links from our Murdoch favoring trolls:
doesitreallymatter, Don't change the subject. How is it do you think that Tucker Carlson is top rating when even FOX lawyers say he doesn't tell the truth. It could be said his top rating could be more a condemnation of his listeners than anything else. You Literally Can't Believe The Facts Tucker Carlson Tells You. So Say Fox's Lawyers https://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=169170627
"You are big on requiring links to assertions -- how about requiring DD to provide links to this >>>Their main competition is for [1] government subsidies and [2] tax forgiveness and [3] below-cost leases. That is why they [4] buy congressmen<<< The only extra tax deduction for oil companies I recall, is a deduction for "depletion" which surely is a big factor hap"
In your case it has become clear your positions are most always openly arguable. I'd say more generally than ours. For this debate surely you would not argue that companies do not compete strongly for subsidies. Or that no - repeat no - members of congress more often than not vote in sympathy with the desires of their financial donors.
You can cherry pick to your heart's desire, still seems to me these two sentences
"Large oil companies in the United States have been paying taxes at a significantly lower rate than most other corporations. The chief reason is that there are provisions in the U.S. tax code that allow energy companies to defer and avoid federal income tax payments." https://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=169188232
basically are good evidence our arguments prevail in this particular debate.
Enjoy the golf.
