With Herschel I don't feel the vicious lies and conduct, but I didn't research his recent past, and I feel a certain kinship with Herschel as I played hockey all my life up to just recently with far too many lights out occurrences throughout my career. My feelings are more to gently help him off the stage and back into a protected environment where his mid stage dementia could be studied and treated.

I see a man that may have lost parts of the ability to reason and may not even realize he's lying like he does. My grandma had different levels of dementia and would keep repeating the same stories from her past that everyone knew were not true including her when healthy - they were stories she entertained us kids with, at that point she was believing them.

I don't know who put him up to it, but if he loses, maybe he'll retire and get some help. Hershel may just be damaged. Or maybe not.
