It seems Republicans would have been more supportive of Clinton if he had actually raped Lewinsky. They seem to like that in their leaders.

"Trump has been accused of rape and attempted rape a total of three times, once involving an alleged victim who was a year younger than Moore's accuser."

Seems like he would have sued them for libel if they were making it up. I can't find any citations about how his lawsuits against the women played out.
