newmedman--we are taking about children being indoctrinated in gender fluidity in school before puberty. My bipolar sister was living independently when she started talking about how she would be happier if she was male (when she was in her late 30's) and went to a support group for transgenders --where she now says they strongly encouraged her that she would most likely be happier like they were after transitioning.

My biggest concern is adopting a mental condition as "normal" --with irreversible consequences.

Those that are happy in their transition --great. They found a way to be happier by doing a drastic solution to their unhappiness. But it does NOT mean that children should be "gender-affirmed" before they learned to drive and make life time decisions.

Look--I have personal experience in my family. You may not believe it--but my sister is incredbly unhappy now--despite destransitioning.

Let children grow up--and THEN make a decision. Which did not solve my sister's situation--but she should have gone through counseling with an eye to her bipolar condition.
