newmedman: OK, at the time 1988 I was living in Laguna Niguel, CA. The lady I was with at the time and I were getting ready to move back to TX. We decided to take a trip up thru the Red Woods and on up to Lake Tahoe and then back down via the 101. Got some great pic's of the trip. Anyway we were in the area and I saw a sign saying Pebble Beach tour $17.00 (q) so we took it. Always heard of Pebble Beach. As we went thru the tour we came close to 4 guy's getting ready to T off. On a lark I stopped and ask them if they would let drive one of the T. I explained I new a bunch of ole timers in a bar in Houston that everyday they met and talk about golf. So they let my T off.
I waited for the right time, my brother and I set real close to the ole timers and I said (just loud enough) hey hoss did I ever tell about time I played Pebble Beach. The look on there faces told it all. Everything stopped so I could tell them some stories and lie's I had heard from real golfers. Only golf I ever played was Putt Putt. But I became a legend for having played Pebble Beach!!!
