Ah, and there's the phenomenal brainwashing the nra and associated groups have done throughout the world in totally bastardizing our 2nd amendment for the last 100 years. It is NOT a constitutional right to bear arms, but the right of a militia to bear arms in the advent of a invasion from an foreign country or from our own government trying to illegally enforce marshal law or something against it citizens militarily. Nothing is written in the 2nd that states US citizens can go out and own any kind of weapon they want in unlimited numbers just to have them in house. And this fact should be spread world wide that the US does NOT give it's citizens the right to be their own army because they want to in time of peace.
"The strong heritage of gun ownership in the U.S. – and the Constitutional right to bear arms – is an obstacle that British gun control activists like North didn't have to wrestle with in the aftermath of the Dunblane shooting."
