Governor Abbott has cancelled his appearance this weekend at the NRA event, and most of the entertainment has pulled out of performing. You want to own a gun, for whatever reason , that is fine, but you should at least have a background check to make sure you have not been arrested, or maybe have issues that would prevent you from being responsible to handle guns. When you are an alcoholic, society puts measures in place to make it difficult to own and drive a vehicle. If you are a parent and have problems raising your children because the police are being called every other day because you have problems. This is the 21st century, republicans want us to believe they want law and order, where is it in gun ownership. This is not the wild west, and society is not 1000 miles away, this is America, we interact with everyone all day long.
