I remember in elementary school, in the 1950's, we'd have drills to supposedly prepare for a nuclear attack. Sometimes we'd practice getting under our desks and sometimes filing out into the hallway and sitting with our backs against the wall.
Now kids practice active shooter drills. So we've always trained kids for potential deadly disasters, the obvious difference being that there weren't any nuclear wars and there have been school shootings.
I wonder when the NRA is going to start advocating for personal nuclear explosive devices as a 2nd Amendment guarantee. It takes a good guy with a personal nuclear device to stop a bad guy with a personal nuclear device.
