I think that munchkin ran as a dem to get elected only. If he was going to vote with the republicans regularly, he should have had the balls to run as an independent or a republican, the usual suspects in putting business profits over working people.

The representative in my district is a rice farmer whose main focus is increasing rice subsidies, you never hear from him normally. He has never even been to my county. Republican carpetbaggers get elected here because of gerrymandering mostly, we had McClintock for awhile, another one who had never been here. As long as the farm subsidies flow, they get the campaign cash. The counterbalance is that doing so made many districts extremely bright blue since the agricultural areas are red. Our rural divide is mostly concentrated around farm welfare, which the republicans love.

Commodity prices are near all-time highs, but the shitgibbon's tariffs with china left them sucking for a few years, however now the increased subsidies continue to flow even when crops are great.
