Since Paxlovid is boosted with Ritonovoir one outlook could be that efficacy across ages, groups, or across progression could play a part in viral breakthroughs. A side by side test could answer that question.
It may be that Paxlovid is not best in class.
A more efficacious covid antiviral might have fewer breakthrough infections.
