Only you know for sure why you ignored it. I could guess your ignoring it has something to do with your having built your construct that the world is letting Ukraine down, that now you have to keep rebuilding it. To make it a "constant noise." It's a feel good thing on your part too, isn't it.

Then this again superiority-hugging drumbeat of yours

is nuts. Your suggestion the world hadn't been thinking of the effects of a long drawn out war - and a bigger war - from the beginning flies in the face of all we have read and discussed.
