To say I'm happier with Adams is a bit of an overstatement. I would state instead that I find him more tolerable.

There really hasn't been an inspiring Mayor of NYC in the 45 years I've lived there. Bloomberg's first term, yes, his next two not so much. Bloomberg had some colossally bad ideas in those last 8 years, but, to be fair, when he lost on an issue he moved on without recriminations. Unlike Giuliani, who was a truly terrible human being.

We used to say that being Mayor of NYC is the second hardest job in the country, right behind President.

Did I mention that at least it's not King DiBlasio?
