Actually a staff-accountant does a lot of work, but people come and go, so isn't it better they replace someone, rather than not?
I would also deduce that the person leaving, as the posting was from earlier in the month, gave notice so they can finish out the YE close.

I won't promote the job openings at CW, but they have quite a few interesting ones.
