I keep hearing how Russia is stalled and demoralized in one breathe and then about all the cities being blown up and the devastation they are creating in another.

The real eye opener assessment I heard today was about the frigates and landing craft off Odessa. The assessment given was "They" saw no evidence that an amphibious landing may occur. How fucking dumb was that?

Each participant wants to paint their own picture of what is, may be or going to happen, using their own embellishments and hopes as the colors.

I keep watching that map, that continues to grow more red, with more Russian troop locations by the day. And I remember how we were kicking ass in Viet Nam and Afghanistan, as reported, until we weren't. Only time will tell.
But let me crawl out on a limb here. I've been hearing talk of some negotiation of a settlement of a neutral Ukraine, and all that it entails. If things don't get better for Ukraine soon, I think Zelensky will opt to do that, rather than watch the total destruction of his country. Of course, there will be a lot of face saving to go along with that. We will herald our staunch support of an ally for having ended the war and Russia will claim it achieved its objective. Just a guess on my part.
Then the Iran clusterfuck will begin.
