Is it possible, at least in theory, to stop mentioning, talking about Trump, as if he's relevant to anything?

The media has developed a parasitic relationship with him, even left-ish web sites do stories about him continuously to garner clicks and pump up ad rates.

The reality is that he has nothing new to add to any analysis of any situation but he does, apparently generate revenue:

My guess is that the more NATO bends over backwards to insist they aren't getting involved in Ukraine, the more they are involved, under the radar so to speak.

No way they're going to wait until a NATO country is invaded by Vlad to do something, they just can't let him know what they're doing.
