You seem to be comfortable lumping people into simplistically formulaic groups.
"as usual, disagree with a dem..." Personally, I know a lot of dems who have a wide range of opinions on things. I guess you're lucky you don't have to deal with that sort of variety and can be happy with a "know a few, know them all" point of view.
A lot of Congress people, in fact, live with roommates or rent cheap accomodations. DC is very expensive for someone making about $170K, who also has to maintain a home back home and travel back and forth a lot.
Don't understand the wealth double standard thing. Yes, Pelosi is rich, her husband owns vineyards, but, at the same time, she's representing one of the wealthiest areas in the world. My Senators, Schumer and Gillibrand aren't noted for any personal fortunes, unlike, say, Manchin.
No one's lying about Manchin. We can both cherry pick articles and quotes but you've yet to answer why, exactly, he voted against it.
