It's really hard to rise to the times when you have an alleged bipartisanship nazi party with a few of your own traitors on board standing on your head every time you try.
It is supposed to take both sides to succeed however the right isn't playing and they change the rules and make laws when they fit their need. If you mean the dems aren't rising to challenge that strong enough or brave enough, you may be right.
Tough to get things done with a 50/50 party split vote when some of the dems went to the dark side. Why do you think mitch makes sure the filibuster is there when he wants to use it and won't let the dems do anything to it to win bills?
