Scarborough had an interesting take on Manchin.

Manchin agreed to a $1.5 trillion dollar bill with Biden... (I think Scarborough said $1.75 trillion, but whatever) it's just everything that's proposed is a bridge too far for him.

So put the two of them in a room and have Manchin say what he's for. Then have them walk out and give a press conference. And Manchin can say he's agreed to an actual bill, or he just can say he's a lying sack of shit and his word's no good.

Manchin represents West Virginia, and they're deep red. If we want more progressive policies, we can't count on him... and really we shouldn't. We need to elect more Democrats. He's said just that too. Joe good for us in that he hands us the gavel. Socially he's more liberal than his base, but that's as far as he goes.

But he really should be as good as his word.

One added note. When Republikklans don't get their way, they redouble their efforts. They'll lie, cheat, steal and eat dead babies, but they don't give up. That's what democrats do. And we have to stop that.
