I am a hard working person. Wasp. My first home was bought with a 1st time affordable home program. If not otherwise available I could not have purchased. Subsequently that first purchase helped put me on the road to successfully sell and then move on to a better home for me and my family. I believe Gaby is correct. I work in a service industry. Many of my employees are minorities they work hard but without some assistance can’t break the rent cycle and built wealth. Some of my long term employees were able years ago purchase homes through programs and now they and their family’s benefit from home ownership. That’s as American as it gets.
