The Vjosa River and the Shala River are declared protected areas 01/26/2022
The Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro, said that today it was decided by the decision of the Council of Ministers to declare the Vjosa River and the Shala River as protected areas.
"The Vjosa River, so much debated, and the Shala River and we go with two protection zones, at the Natural Park level. We have another good news that is the announcement of the Albanian Alps Park, where we have a reorganization of some areas such as Thethi, Gashi river, Valbona, including in a wider territory almost 20 ha. In total today from 18% of the territory of protected areas, today even with verification in the territory we have 21% ", said the Minister of Tourism.
