I think that's what NATO and Biden have in mind,,,,Not sure if the Ukrainian landscape is such to support a gorilla war but I understand your point...It also places the burden on the people of Ukraine, how willing are they?

Overall I doubt they stand much of a chance against Russia and would be overwhelmed pretty quickly and the Russians would just collect up the weaponry left behind and if their 'friends' won't stand and fight with them, why be slaughtered... We've seen it before in our 'empire' wars...

NATO'S power is with the unity of many nations against aggression and expansion...They will team up and present an overwhelming force making the cost of war too high for a would be aggressor...But if they won't draw a hard line in the sand its just a bluff that is easily called...

Good post as usual Hawk...All out war is so ugly and inhumane..But as long as there are Putins in the world, we will have to figure out how to deal with them....
