This is my first post on this thread. What do I have to say for myself? Well, i'll mention first that in my view, 95% of patents are worthless (most people already know this). I've concluded this from prosecuting thousands of patents over 10 years. Next, i'm mainly a value type trader focusing on microcaps, so i'll start with the premise that even in this frothy market there are many small companies trading with single digit p/e's. As a consequence, i'd say the current bull market has further to go. You didn't see this in 1999. Examples are IDSA (p/e of 6 annualized based on latest results); EGAM (p/e of 5); CREB (p/e of 4); MDPA (p/e of 5 annualized based on latest results); EYDY (p/e of 9): HNNS; ETEC, LRDI, DBBD (all single digit p/e's); and many others.
