Upon reflection, in America we do honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Last week, someone informed me of the passing of an old girlfriend, she is remembered by a clip in the newspaper.

She passed away over three months ago, it only matters to those who knew her, but like many deaths. You are alive, and then you die, and only those who knew you care. But your life is over, and quickly forgotton.

I go to a dinner each year, it's called Honoring the Sacrifice, it is time to honor some veterans of the pass two decades. I have been doing it for years. These veterans have to live with the injuries they sustained in battle.

At these meals I always want to remember those that only I remember from years ago. Cherish each day, and 2022, may it be a great one for everyone in this forum.
