I really think the problem for development of medicine is when there are conflicts of interest. The CDC/FDA/NIH all have to be separated from the many conflicts of interest they have with big pharma. It would be better for a gov't grant agency, distinct from the Fauxci NIH, should be dispensing grants for research to private institutions. No private monies from big pharma should subsidize CDC/FDA/NIH thru any channels, meaning the money flow from pharma to gov't agencies should be totally banned.
