I think your post prior to this one made a very good point:
The growth baton is being passed from the household sector to the business and export sectors
The consumer has held things together for far longer than most thought they would, while business capex continued to languish. Business needed (and appears to be) "picking up the baton" (finally), offering the real support the economy and market needs. 3Q numbers revealed real growth in busines spending with incredibly low inventory levels. This growth in the business sector will eventually lead to more jobs which, in turn, will recharge the consumer sector. Of course, this is my opinion.
