Why wait? Ever hear of undervolting? You can get a 4200+ and do it today. In fact, if you weren't so predisposed to AMD, you could have gotten a Core 2 E4300 for the same price, and either get better power characteristics by undervolting it, or better performance characteristics by taking advantage of all the overclocking headroom in Intel's more superior micro-architecture.
