To deploy Canada’s first commercial, grid-scale small modular reactor at Darlington, Ontario Power Generation announced a partnership with GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy on Thursday, Dec. 2.
They will collaborate on the small modular reactor (SMR) engineering, design and planning, as well as preparing the licensing and permitting materials and performing site-preparation activities. The companies plan to construct Canada's first commercial, grid-scale SMR at the Darlington Nuclear Generation Station in Clarington.
