I'm sorry but as one of the most advanced nations in the world to have a mortality rate on par with Brazil, Croatia, Slovakia, Argentina and Lithuania is unacceptable.

We've had the leading edge in medicine and have spent trillions and yet we rank 20th in the world in mortality.

It's called failure, plain and simple.

You want more reasons why the US had done so poorly beside Republican politicians especially Trump downplaying the virus and taking steps to block viral mitigation. Okay. The US doesn't guarantee healthcare for all and doesn't guarantee paid sick leave. We sure as hell aren't an advanced nation on those fronts. Many people had to work even when they weren't feeling well because they could afford to miss work and couldn't afford to see a doctor. The leading edge in medicine is irrelevant is a large portion of the population can access it.
