Seems that guy who just resigned has been fighting that pencil neck sentiment for some time now, be it republiqan or dem.

Maybe like most intelligent military, he knows when to retreat from a losing battle. Massive shame. He's absolutely right, some things aren't for profit and are never meant to be for profit. And if someone else cuts or takes funding, which I believe is actually what is happening there, then then funds must be found elsewhere because there is no choice to stop the support.
