Not sure I understand what you mean by "the movements".

I'm not seeing gardens taking up any empty lots from houses gone missing, in NYC. All we get are bigger, more expensive houses to take up those spaces.

I'm not complaining. A vibrant housing market is a sure sign of a vibrant city. I know in Detroit they've been doing these swaps, but not sure where else.
