Yes, I agree. We can disagree on the technicalities but seem to be more aligned on the overall picture.

While I'm dismayed at the course that civic discourse has taken, I lay the blame almost entirely on the Republican / conservative end of the spectrum.

You can blame AOC and The Squad for being dunderheads, Sanders, too, but they lack the power to change things in the way that Gingrich, Reagan and McConnell have.

Not to mention some former president who completely trashed the concepts of manners and grace.
