So you would rather pay zero taxes on zero profit instead my situation where I'm looking at a tax payment of approximately 100k on gains of 325k trading amc? Plus I still own some of the stock, however I never trade options, I've been burned there before.

My goal at the beginning of each year is to be so successful that our tax liability is 1 million, now seldom has that happened but we're usually close to it, it's a great goal when you reach it.

I've been trading since 1968 and with inflation where it was in the late 70's and where it is now, if you hold a stock that doesn't appreciate at least 15% you're loosing money. Just my opinion. Good luck.
