All signs point to no buyout ...

It's interesting that most here treat an MDT buyout as a fiat accompli - a few reminders of why this seems doubtful:

1) Perry's own words in various articles suggest they are planning for years of future product development
2) The market cap continues to be sub $200MM, implying the market doesn't believe a buyout will happen DESPITE it being well known MDT has bought a bunch of IP from Titan
3) MDT never took an equity stake or included any language around a right of first refusal or otherwise in its development agreement. They could have easily bought Titan for $100M or less at the time of the agmt and opted not to. Why would they now pay $500M or more?
4) MDT is committed to Hugo and has already launched it - they will not want another robotic system operating on a different platform and architecture - they are likely doing their own SP
5) The turnover of the SAB, mgmt, and the board of directors. If a buyout was coming, they would have stayed for the payday ... or as livendi says, "mucho dineros" would be on the line
6) They are no where near commercialization, my guess is earliest any buyout would happen would be post FDA approval and proof of concept ... and that is still a couple years away at the earliest
7) The hyping by McNally of the share price via the paid off Encode group, the investor slides having references to publicly traded peers and other buyouts ... he is trying to sell the stock hard
8) No insiders have bought any stock (again, if a 3-5x return was a slam dunk, where are the insider buys? I sure as hell would be buying).

Many other reasons though this should be sufficient for someone looking at this objectively. Titan's going it alone and the company seems to be setting the stage for an equity raise given all the hype PR
