The common thread seems to me to be an insistence that personal freedoms are being infringed upon, overlooking the fact that there are a wide range of public safety and public health measures/laws that require.....cooperation among citizens.

The 'promote the general welfare...' in the preamble to the U.S. Constitution seems to be out of favor among more and more faux patriots.
