WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)--Rambus Inc. (RMBS) repurchased 808,650 common shares for $15.1 million during the third quarter, according to the company's quarterly report filed Thursday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
During the first nine months of 2003, the company repurchased a total of 2.3 million shares at a cost of $29.8 million, according to the filing.
As of Sept. 30, the company had remaining authorization to buy back another 3.8 million outstanding common shares, the filing said.
As of Oct. 16, the company had 97,881,939 common shares outstanding.
Rambus designs, licenses and markets high-bandwidth chip connection technologies for multimedia, networking equipment and digital television markets.
