I can't thank you enough for the thorough and informative reply. The more I learn, the more excited I get about my investment. I hope you don't mind a few more questions/points.

"IP is intellectual property."

This simple point clears up so much as I was thinking IP as in internet protocol, once again, I'm new here.

"Everyone out there making product that uses the specs in the patents belonging to NetList owes them money for licensing."

I guess there is no way to know what percentage of devices are infringing or not in the market place, there could be many more.

I think you will be very surprised when you get a firm grasp of the scale of the situation.

I already am, it sounds enormous.

It took ten years for NetList to get their patents validated by the US Patent and Trademark office.

Do you know if NetList's patents are considered utility patents or design patents? The reason I ask, is it makes a significant difference on how long the patent lasts.
