Yes, so we do agree that you shouldn't be an eleectricity bank. It shouldn't be like that, it should be one for all.

LOL when I first started building houses I met lineman who could go up to the pole and hotwire us completely off the grid, but that's a story for another day. We did it with fire hydrants too but nothing passed through another meter.

My only thing is that I'm proud that you are trying to be conscientious. There's some of us left lol.

I had another electrician friend that has a cabin in the Wisconsin north woods. He is all solar but has a barn that holds 100 car batteries . To wire them all in sequence and still make things go with breakers was way outside of my realm but he has it nailed.

Now, for the last 20 years I'm scared to go into that barn. It was very cool back then but now I just see a giant bomb waiting to happen. He laughs at me when I tell him how I really feel but It's his life, I'm only invited.

I live just outside of Chicago and they really are pushing the solar thing like you say. Lot's of incentives but the only place the panels could goo is on my roof and I'm not really comfortable with that. They have it all broke down to tell me in 10 years that I'd be with a zero electric bill. (and a bastardized roof)

The only problem I have is I'm not sure where I'll be in ten years. Property taxes are already through the roof and I live by myself so I don't use much electricity anyway. Com Ed sends me a letter every month to tell me how great I am doing. I'd gladly jump on the train if I saw others around who could convince me to join as much as I think it's right.

I'll tell you though. If people don't start to work together again here, I'm blowing this pop stand.

It was never on my bingo card to look out for people carrying assault rifles at War-Mart, while they tell me the place I grew up in is some kind of war zone that they have no fucking clue about.

Toss in a little covid hysteria and my will is definitely being dragged through the wringer.

I'm watching the society that I knew, being turned on to its face, and if we can't snap out of it then I'll gladly learn another language.
