Obama followed through on Bush's TARP and the auto bailouts because, no f'ing choice. If the banks and the auto industry had gone under, an economic depression was a certainty. And then there was the $700B Stimulus.

If Hedges was right about the middle class, then how did both Clinton and Obama earn 2nd terms?
